Corstorphine House

This fine historic homestead, overlooking the southern outskirts of Dunedin and Otago Harbour, was built by John Sidey in 1863. Standing majestically on the hillside overlooking much of the southern outskirts of Dunedin, Corstorphine House is an oasis of peace and tranquility – a country setting just ten minutes by car from the Dunedin City centre.

Corstorphine House offers unique accommodation in seven individually themed rooms with en-suites. The formal rooms feature wood-paneled walls, impressive marble and sculptured fireplaces and beautifully plastered high ceilings.  All accommodation rooms have been refurbished to the highest of modern standards.

Corstorphine House gourmet cuisine is accessible to the house guests and to the public for private, corporate dining, high tea or a taste of regional wine and cheese.

Indeed, the seven acres of garden so close to the centre of Dunedin give the estate a country feel few city hotels can match.
